Updated 29 September 2026 at 01:09 BST. National Rail has confirmed that fire-related disruption between Clapham Junction and London Victoria ended at 00:45 BST on Tuesday 29 September.

The incident record was updated at 00:46 BST. This replaces the earlier warning of delays and cancellations on the route used by Eastbourne–London Victoria trains.

Southern reported that Sunday’s trackside fire near Clapham Junction damaged signalling equipment. Lines reopened following emergency engineering work, before the remaining disruption was cleared.

Separate timetable changes still apply. Eastbourne’s weekday off-peak London service changes remain scheduled through Friday 9 October. Check the journey planner before travelling; the end of the fire incident does not remove those changes.
