Sussex Police say a 20-year-old Eastbourne man has been charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.
In their noon update on 22 September, police said he had been remanded to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court that day. Four other people have been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
The 13-year-old boy is recovering at home. The charges are allegations, not a finding of guilt.
Witness appeal
The incident happened at about 17:10 on Sunday 20 September in Grand Parade, near Elms Avenue and Cavendish Place.
Police still want footage from the area between 16:00 and 18:00 that day. Call 101 and quote reference 1096 of 20/09.
