National Highways lists two sets of overnight A27 closures affecting journeys to and from Eastbourne this October, for work on diseased ash trees.
- Berwick roundabout–Polegate, both directions: 21:00–06:00, starting Friday 9 October. Polegate Town Council confirms two nights, ending on Sunday 11 October morning.
- Southerham roundabout–Berwick roundabout, both directions: the published window is 19–24 October, 21:00–06:00 overnight.
The signed eastbound diversion uses the A26 to Little Horsted and A22 back to Polegate; follow current signs and allow extra time. National Highways warns schedules can change.
