Tuesday 29 September 2026, 11:30 BST. Drivers using the A27 north of Eastbourne should plan for a closure in both directions between Pevensey roundabout and Golden Jubilee roundabout tonight.
National Highways’ daily closure report lists the carriageway closure from 20:00 on Tuesday 29 September until 06:00 on Wednesday 30 September.
The entry sits within the wider Cophall–Pevensey carriageway-reconstruction scheme. The overnight closure listed for Tuesday is specifically the Pevensey–Golden Jubilee section; it should not be read as a closure of the whole scheme area.
Allow extra time, check the live report before travelling and follow roadside diversion signs. National Highways warns that planned works can change at short notice. The report does not specify tonight’s diversion route, so we have not reproduced a route from older works.
