The incident affected Gatwick Express, Southern and Thameslink routes across Sussex. This confirmation supersedes the earlier warning that residual disruption could continue until 18:30.
This all-clear relates to the communications fault only. Southern still lists separate weekday off-peak timetable changes affecting Eastbourne–London journeys and planned overnight engineering work. Check the operator’s live travel information before setting off.
