The A27 eastbound Lewes bypass is scheduled to close overnight between Ashcombe Roundabout and Southerham Roundabout.
National Highways lists a full carriageway closure from 8pm on Wednesday 26 August until 6am on Thursday 27 August 2026 for surface works.
What Eastbourne drivers need to know
The closure is on the main A27 route used for journeys from Lewes and Brighton towards Polegate and Eastbourne. Drivers travelling east during the closure should allow extra time and follow signed directions on the road.
